Google Chrome's Removal of Default Trust for Chunghwa Telecom SSL Certificates
Google Chrome has announced that starting August 1, 2025 (from Chrome version 139), it will no longer trust SSL website certificates newly issued by Chunghwa Telecom after July 31, 2025.
From August 1, 2025, all websites using certificates issued by Chunghwa Telecom will display a "Connection is not secure" error message in the Chrome browser, and users will be unable to browse them normally.
Chunghwa Telecom will suspend the issuance of new TLS website certificates starting August 1, 2025. It is recommended that you consider switching to other Chrome-trusted certificate authorities before the improvement measures are completed to avoid service interruptions.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Hung-Jie Jhou at the Information Technology Service Center, campus extension 31888.
