Google Cloud Storage Services for Alumni Accounts Will Be Discontinued on July 15, 2026; Gmail Service Will Remain Available
In response to adjustments to Google's education account service policy and account calculation method, @nycu.edu.tw accounts used by alumni will no longer include Google cloud storage-related services, such as Google Drive and Google Photos. However, Gmail email service will remain available and will not be affected by this change.

Service Discontinuation Date
July 15, 2026 (Wednesday)
Beginning on this date, alumni accounts will no longer be able to access Google cloud storage space or any data stored therein.

Affected Users
Alumni holding @nycu.edu.tw accounts.
Graduating students from 2026 onward, who will be subject to the same policy three months after graduation.

Services Affected
The following Google cloud storage services will no longer be available:
●Google Drive
●Google Photos
●Other Google services that rely on cloud storage space

Services Not Affected
●Gmail email service will remain available.
Please note that if an account has not been logged in to for one year, the account and its associated data will be deleted in accordance with university regulations.

Please Back Up Your Data
To avoid the loss of important data, users are strongly advised to complete the backup and cleanup of their Google cloud storage data before July 15, 2026.

Any future adjustments to service content will be announced on the Information Technology Service Center website and communicated via email. Please pay attention to related announcements and email notifications.
